General Music Room Information
Classroom Rules
It is very important for students to be good listeners in the music room. We are only in music for a limited time and I want to fill that time with music, not discipline problems!
I expect all students to
Be Respectful
Be Kind
Raise Hands to Speak
Share with each other
Tell the truth
Work quietly
Follow directions the first time
Do their best

Individual Behavior
I will be sending PINK notes if there are any problems with behavior during music time. If your student receives a pink note they were given SEVERAL reminders about their behavior. Please sign and return this pink note as soon as possible.
Classroom Rewards
Classes will be filling up charts to earn reward parties in the music room! Parties will include recess, movie, snacks, and music games!

Students in grades 1-3 use the grading scale S+, S, S-, N, and U in music.

S = Satisfactory Work

PARTICIPATION GRADES
Students will receive participation points each day that they are in music. There will be a total of 5 points possible each music day. The points will be for behaving appropriately (which does affect participation) as well as being prepared. Mrs. Wiedrich will observe students during class time and if they are not singing, playing instruments, answering questions, etc... this will be noted on the gradebook. Points will be awarded on the midterm report and the final report card for each grading period.
Students who consistently do not participate during class time might not receive an A or S on their report card, so please remind your student to participate appropriately! .
All students also receive a conduct grade on their report card. Students who consistently receive stop signs in the music room will not receive an S in conduct.
